General information regarding the reproduction of images

To protect our historic buildings and their contents, as well as the gardens and their status as exceptional cultural assets, photography as well as film and TV productions are not generally permitted.

Especially for commercial and indoor shootings, or those of facilities not adjacent to a public road, the Foundation reserves the right on each occasion to make the images and their subsequent use subject to its prior approval.

The guiding principle in this regard must be the careful and respectful treatment of the historic buildings, gardens and art treasures who are looked after by the Foundation. For the detailed procedure, please see our Photo Library Policy. The reproduction of images owned by the Kulturstiftung DessauWörlitz and the production of images for commercial purposes is subject to a fee.

Please address any enquiries and applications regarding the reproduction of images by email, fax or post to the Kulturstiftung DessauWörlitz, Photographic Library, together with details of the publication (title, author, publication date, print run etc.) and the required motifs.

Please also note our policy concerning photography, film and TV productions in connection with the Foundation’s historic buildings, their contents and the gardens, as well as the our General Terms and Conditions including details of prices.
