Interconnecting historic houses and gardens on a large scale
The Garden-Kingdom of Dessau-Wörlitz stretches over an area of 142 square kilometres.
It comprises the part of the historic territory where the monuments are particularly dense in terms of number and quality and the character of the modelled landscape is particularly distinct and vivid. This area stretches all the way from Großkühnau in the west via the gardens in Dessau (Georgium, Luisium) and Wörlitz to the village of Rehsen in the east.
